This week has not been smooth for me and i'm going to let out my feelings...arghhh...
First, my sony ericsson w910i hp was sent for repair as it went completely 'dead' while i was texting halfway. This hp has been giving the same problem not too long after i bought it last Nov 07. It shuts itself up some times and I have to 'reboot' it but this time there is no way to revive it. To make matter worst, i lost all my contacts (din backup in the sim card) and suay suay it decided to be dead just a few days after the warranty expired. Spent $73 to extend one year warranty and got to rush down to the service center at wisma for repair and collection. Good thing is I bought a new hp, samsung S7330 but the stupid M1 trade-in personnel checked my hp like for more than 10mins, turning it 360 degree at all angles and decided to deduct $50 from the trade-in value of $150 for something that look perfectly fine with me. Starhub, on the other hand offered Joey (my coll who just trade-in her w910i due to the same prob) trade-in at $200 without even checking the phone, gosh...) so M1 if not bcos my plan is tied to my hubby's plan, you would have lost 2 customers this week! In the end, i din trade-in to M1 cos...you do the maths!
Secondly, in the middle of this week, i received an email from my boss sending me the door access report for last week. she asked me if there is any reason why the timing looks out of norm. i was pissed and explained to her this report is far from perfect to gauge our punctuality. Our door access system is such that you can either scan your fingerprint or key in your pin to gain access in and out of the office premises on arrival, back from lunch etc. and there are times where you entered with your colleagues and you dont even need to scan to enter. and there are times you could be entering with a coll and later went to the washroom and scan using your identity (which by then it could reflect your first entry as late). Anyway I say something, which one of my frds told me is a career suicide. I told my boss in a polite tone, if management still wanna continue to micro-managed in this manner, then probably i need to consider looking for another job and leave on time instead of staying a little longer to clear a bit more of the work. Maybe its bcos of the already-not-easy role as a working mum with no maid/helper, plus a husband who is increasingly working irregular and long hours (and yes he was working late yesterday, returning at 10pm+ when we hardly have time to talk. This sat morning (again not much time to talk, cant even afford to have bfast together cos by the time I woke up at 7.30am, he was all dressed up ready to report to work at 9am) going to office to work thru till Sun dunno what time. with all these it doesnt make my life any easier. I'm upset not fully bcos he needs to work this weekend but his priority is to leave early for his work. Doesn't he care about me not having my breakfast yet, doesn't he care about our usual routine to get the ingredients for megan's meal. Anyway seeing i'm unhappy he did try to ask me to go down for bfast or tabao for me, but i rejected. He din have the thot in the first place so why bother? Its no wonder singapore is having lower birth rate, cos we dun have a pro-family working environment, and its really not easy to juggle between work, housework and babysitting.
Anyway some good things to share. Megan's nanny gave her a bear yesterday and told me she know how to say "bear" and "apple". I have my doubts and did not really take her words. but after we reached home last nite and right after i passed her the bear, she keeps saying "bear" (it was clear) for many times. I was shocked! Too bad her daddy misses all these cos again he was at work.
